I'm using GTD on Emacs.  I used to work with org-mode, and I really like it, but I wanted something that would be simpler.  I ended up using TaskPaper mode.  Now I can use that, alopg with TaskPaper on the iPad (sorry, not a totally free solution) with seamless DropBox synchronization.
