README for Ick (a continuous integration system) ================================================ Ick is a simple, pointless continuous integration (CI) system for my own use. It might some day be useful for others, but it might not be. My motivation for this is that I don't have a separate server on which to run a CI system, just my laptop, and this places some constraints on things. What I need is something I can trigger manually. I use my CI system to run something akin to "make check" for each project, but also to build Debian packages in a clean way for various targets. Name ---- Ick is short for Integrate Continuous Kludges, or possibly something else. The name comes from an IRC discussion about CI systems, and it was commented that they are all kind of icky. Daniel Silverstone suggested "ick" as the name of a new CI system, and that inspired me to write this thing.
