We tried Trello at work, and based on that I wouldn't accept it as a tool for myself. It may work for others. I don't want to rely on online tools that may or may not be available when I need them; and I travel enough that I'm frequently offline. I'm also not going to rely on non-free software if I can help it.

Disregarding those: I found Trello to be a high-friction tool, actually. As so many tools it wanted to force me to do things its own way. But if you like it, excellent. I'm not advocating my choice of tools to anyone else.
