+<DD> Used to mark <B>meta-variables</B> in the text,
+especially in representations of the command line. For example,
+<BLOCKQUOTE> <TT>ls -l</TT> <I>foo</I></BLOCKQUOTE>
+where <I>foo</I> would ``stand for'' a filename, such as <TT>/bin/cp</TT>.

+<DD> Used to represent screen interaction, as in
